Merida Matts 10-V MTB
Game-ready asset made using the high-to-low-poly workflow
An old MTB I’ve been using for some time now and decided to turn into a digital game-ready asset as a means of practice.
Made using the high-to-low-poly workflow, arriving at 45 798 tris for the final model, with largely quad topology. For textures, I opted to use 2 UV tiles at 4K resolution each, packed at ~83% (through UVPackmaster3, with some stacking) for higher detail.
You can take a look at a roundtable showcasing the model and its topology here:
…and inspect the finished thing more closely here:
P.S. The straight-standing bike and the propped up one are effectively the same model. I simply rotated the handlebar and the kickstand and adjusted the bike’s position accordingly for prettier, more natural-looking shots.
